Obituary: Etola Maxine Epperson

Etola Maxine Epperson of Batesville, AR passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at the age of 95.

Epperson was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Tuckerman, AR to the late Lawson and Carmen Runsick.

Epperson was of the Christian faith and served the Lord faithfully in life as well as a member of Quail Valley Church of Christ. She dedicated her life to her faith and her family. She demonstrated her faith through her actions, she was a very hard worker and loved providing for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, faith, hard work, and most of all love.

Epperson is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband of 24 years, C.D. Epperson; her brother, Lahman Runsick; her sisters:  Lucille Allen, Edna McDoniel, and an infant sister, Mabel Runsick. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Taylor (J.B.), Janelle Reeves (Marvin); her son, Chuck Epperson (Andrea), 8 beloved grandchildren, all of which “Mommy Epp” is very proud:  Karla Hodge, Lesa Downs, Stephan Jiles, Angela Collins, Rebecca Sharp, Morton Epperson, John Sharp, and Jordan Epperson; 8 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one niece, Camelita Lavender, one nephew, David Runsick, and a host of beloved friends and church members.

There will be a Funeral Service at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at 10 a.m. with David Moore and Burl Young officiating; followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery in Cave City, AR.
