Newport medical marijuana operation to move south to Pine Bluff

Two hundred new jobs are expected to be brought to Pine Bluff thanks to a move made by the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission on Nov. 10.

That’s when the commission approved the sale of medical marijuana cultivator Natural State Wellness Enterprises of Newport to Good Day Farm, LLC, according to a report from Jonesboro television station, KAIT 8. (See the full report by scrolling to the bottom of this post for the link.)

KAIT reports the Newport location will continue to operate until the first half of 2021 as the Pine Bluff facility is developed.
