Obituary: Alonzo Garcia

Alonzo Joseph Garcia, 37, passed away on Nov. 25, 2020. He was born on Feb. 18, 1983, in Batesville.

Alonzo was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batesville.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially playing with his niece and nephews.

Alonzo was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Guadalupe Garcia, and Alonzo and Ageda Flores. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Lucinda Garcia; sister, Angela Warnix (Dusty); uncle, Jesse Garcia; niece, Baile Rogers; and nephews, Bentley Warnix, Bradley Warnix, Brady Warnix, and Brody Warnix.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Willis Funeral Service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Father Stephen Gadberry will lead the Recitation of the Rosary on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Bethesda Campground Cemetery on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020.

COVID-19 precautions will be in place, and a mask must be worn at visitation and funeral service.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Joe Rolins, Jason Rolins, Adam Garcia, Dusty Warnix, Phillip Franks, and Clinton Fulks. The family would like to recognize the following persons as honorary pallbearers: Sylvester Flores, David Flores, Steve Dyer, Robert McCarville, Patrick McCarville, Eli Tosh, Eric Tosh, Alfred Garcia, Abel Garcia, Jesse Garcia, and Everyone who loved and knew Alonzo.
