Obituary: Vaughn Brokaw

Vaughn Brokaw, 86 of Batesville, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020.

He was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Batesville to Charles and Effie Brokaw.

He was a member of the Church of God. His last words to his family were that he loved them, and he wanted them to pray and live a good life so that he could see them again in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willis Brokaw, Ray Brokaw, and Abe Brokaw; and two sisters, Dorothy Barnett and Mona Louise Reddock.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Easter Brokaw; one son, Donald Brokaw of Olympia, Wash.; one sister, Daisy Prince of Cave City; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Weaver’s Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Nathan Tabor officiating.

Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Allen Brokaw, Clint Brokaw, Joey Prince, Josh Brokaw, Alo Bray, and Allen Brokaw Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are James Reddock, Tommy Prince, Dwight Barnett, Donnie Brokaw, Freeman Brokaw, Eddie Mason, James Brokaw, Troyce Don Barnett, Robert Lee Brokaw, and Charles Barnett.
