Controlled purchases by a confidential informant (CI) led to two Independence County men being charged with drug felonies in circuit court.
Independence County Circuit Court documents allege two controlled buys of methamphetamine by a CI were made from Jamie Kyle Medley (pictured below), 22, between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31 of this year. The docs note two controlled buys of marijuana were also made between the same period.
Medley is charged in circuit court with the following felonies:
- Two counts of delivery of meth
- One count of conspiracy to deliver meth
- Two counts of delivery of marijuana
- Two counts of unlawful use of a communications device to commit a crime.
- And one count of maintaining a drug premises.
There is no bond in Medley’s case.
The court information said on another date between Jan. 1 and Oct. 31, the CI contacted Medley for another buy, and Medley was not available. But the contact told the informant he could purchase meth from an associate who lived in the same residence, Stephen K. Garcia, 27.
Court documents said the buy was made, and Garcia is now facing felony charges of:
- One count of delivery of methamphetamine
- One count of unlawful use of a communications device to commit a crime.
- And one count of maintaining a drug premises.
Garcia’s bond was set at $50,000.
