Searcy man standing on U.S. 167 struck and killed early Friday

Arkansas State Police report a Searcy man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Friday morning on U.S. Highway 167.

State Police Cpl. Jason Glisson’s report says Bradon T. Sheets, 36, of Searcy, was standing in the middle of the southbound lanes of Hwy. 167, north of State Hwy. 87 near Denmark, when he was struck by the front of a southbound Chevrolet.

Glisson’s fatal crash summary notes the road conditions were dry and the weather was cloudy at the time of the incident, approximately 4:45 a.m.

This was the 576th fatality on Arkansas highways in 2020, according to the state police.
