Janna Lou Pinkston Freeman, 88 of Cave City died Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Cave City, Arkansas to Olaf Don and Orilla Jane Carpenter Pinkston.
She taught school at Cave City and Poughkeepsie and retired as Administrator of the Cave City Nursing Home. She was a member of the Cave City Church of Christ.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, traveling, and playing cards. She loved her family, her church, and the Cave City Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Billy Bob Pinkston, and one sister, Norma Pinkston Wooldridge.
Survivors include three daughters, Laura Freeman Kegley (Ed) of Cave City, Tammy Freeman Allender (Randy) of Pleasant Plains and Cindy Freeman Perkey (Gary) of Batesville; her husband, Jasper “Doc Freeman of Poughkeepsie; one sister, Loreta Sites of Fairfield Bay; seven grandchildren, Shaun McHalffey, Alex Perkey, Ashley Allender, Amy Allender Vaughn, Katie Freeman, Eddie Kegley, and Brian Kegley; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Vaughn and Blair Vaughn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Jimmy Sites officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Marc Walling, Kenny Townsley, Brett Vanwinkle, Jeff Eddy, Joey Carpenter, and Larry Pinkston.
Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Cave City Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cave City Nursing Home.
COVID-19 guidelines will be observed. Masks are required.
