Obituary: Carles H. Sipe

Carles H. Sipe, 90, of Batesville passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020.

He was born May 20, 1930, in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to John Sipe and Margie (Johnson) Sipe.

Carles was very caring and loved his family and his friends at the nursing home facility. He was a hard worker; having worked for Boeing Aircraft in Kansas and Wisconsin; he also was a cattle farmer and enjoyed listening to the cattle market on the radio every day! He loved listening to music. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church when he was able.

Survivors include his brother, Curtis Sipe (Virginia) of Batesville; four sisters, Vernice Smith, Verbyl Kimbrough, Vonita Smith, and Linda Wood (Thomas) all of Batesville; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Debbie Johnson; and two nephews, Randy Johnson and Gary Kimbrough.

Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service held at Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Memorials may be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
