Obituary: Mary Lucille Thomas

Mary Lucille (Mullins) Thomas, 75, of Fifty Six, Arkansas passed away on Dec. 9, 2020, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.

Lucille was born on Jan. 31, 1945, in Mossy Ridge, Arkansas to the late Orville Lee Jack Mullins and Glinna M. (Willis) Combs.

Lucille was a retired homemaker, deeply grounded in her faith, and spent much time studying her bible.

She loved spending time outside caring for her animals and tending to her flower beds and vegetable garden. She had won ribbons for her canned vegetables, jellies, and homemade pies.

As a mother, she always modeled a strong work ethic that enabled her to provide for her family.

In 2000, she received an Excellence in Housekeeping Award. This award recognized her for outstanding work and receiving the most compliments throughout the state parks of Arkansas.

She loved everything about the outdoors and like sharing that passion with all of her family. She will be greatly missed by all of her children, grandchildren, her sister, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lucille is survived by her son, Bobby Holt; daughters, Ceredwyn “Cie” Holt, Sandy Stanley, Lisa Goodman and husband Jason, Patricia Uhlhorn, and Kerry Franks and husband Jason; one sister, Linda Lindley; five grandchildren, Timber Gilbert and husband Craig, Cheyenne Gilbert, Olivia Goodman, Cord Goodman, and Crystal Stanley; and one great-granddaughter, Addison Miller along with many extended family and friends.
