Bowling teams from Southside and Batesville met for a match-up at Hollywood Bowl in Batesville on Tuesday.
Boys Results: Southside – 10. Batesville – 3
Singles Matches: Southside won 393-310 & 351-220 and Batesville won 542-463 & 458-411
Bakers Matches: Southside won 121-113 & 158-105
For Southside, Antonio Ciamaricone led with a high game of 188. Johnny Neel added a 187 and Adam Denison and Ashton Wilkey each had a 156. For Batesville, Landen Hodge had games of 266 and 202 and Caleb Teague added a 171 game.
Girls Results: Southside – 9. Batesville – 4.
Singles Matches: Southside won 406-370, 366-178, and 355-173 and Batesville won 371-366.
Bakers Matches: Southside won 159-108 and Batesville won 133-103.
For Southside, Hope Sharp led with a high game of 148. Katie Denison added a 146, Emilee Jones had a 145, Haleigh Belle Cummings had a 134, Maddison Boyer had a 131, and BJ Williams had a 125. For Batesville, Katelynn Barksdale had games of 167 and 160.
“It was good to get two wins against a very good Batesville squad,” Southside Coach Fred Denison said. “The boys were a little inconsistent but the girls shot really well as a team today. We have a long break before we play again, so I hope we don’t look too rusty when we play our next match.”
Some players were sidelined due to contact quarantines, according to Batesville Coach Samantha Hogan.
“Once we have our full lineup, I expect some great things,” she said.
