All of the rural areas served by Independence County for household garbage and also all the cities served by the county will be picked up on normal days for both weeks during the holidays, according to Independence County Judge Robert Griffin.

Griffin asked that household carts be out by 7 a.m., regardless of when they normally run as they might have extra help on Thursday for both weeks, so employees can be with their families as soon as they can.
