Ola Aleen Bailey, 100, of Newport departed this life Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.
She was born March 24, 1920, to Henry Taylor and Cora (Williams) Taylor.
She attended the Tuckerman Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, crocheting, and loved telling stories. She was a homemaker but had worked as a supervisor for Brown Jordan for years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Roy Woodrow Bailey; a son Roy Lee Bailey; a brother, Clyde Taylor; and sisters, Ruth Murphfree, Pauline Geren, Christine Gluckhertz, and Ruby Nell Bishop.
She is survived by her sister; Mary Lois McGinnis; daughter in law; Dietra Bailey of Mountain View, grandchildren; Stacy Leubner (Richard) of Mountain View, Allison Stevens of Cave Springs, Tammy Boyd (Pat) of Hot Springs, Dennis Bailey (Jayna) of Olympia, Washington; great-grandchildren, Devin Leubner, Collin Leubner, Bailey Aiken, Brent Stevens, Ryan Halbert, Tyler Hendrix, Josh Bailey, Justin Bailey, Amber Pendergrass (Jeff); great-great-grandchildren; Hunter Pendergrass and Ellie Kay Pendergrass; special niece, Jeannie Runnels of Texas.
Graveside service will be on Dec. 23, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery.
