Delia Geneva Jones, 97, of Batesville, AR passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020.
She was a member of the VFW Post #9577 in Newark, AR, the Ladies Auxiliary as the President and Chaplain, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #196, and was the Director of the Cord Senior Citizens Center in Cord, AR.
She also loved gardening and could make anything grow. Delia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose memory will forever be held close to the hearts of those that love her.
Delia is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Jones; parents, Dewitt and Delia (Lacey) House; brothers, Dee House Jr. and Cecil House; sister, Laverne House; and grand-daughter, Paula Mechele Ward Carson.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Dale Jones, and Willard Dennis Jones; daughter, Mary Marie (Ward) Butler; grandchild, Willard Newton Jones; great-grandchild, Caleb Ward Carson; and sisters, Lucy Michaels and Alene Langston.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Brother David Insell.
Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, AR. Pallbearers include Brad Manuel, Ron Manuel, William Stevens, and John Minor Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are James Tharp, Cecil House, Jerry Jones, Morris Reves Jr., Gary Jones, Kerry Tharp, Ka Mikel Orsman, and Don Wayne Anderson.
