Austin Dean Smith, 78, of Heber Springs passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.
He was born June 26, 1942, in Batesville, Arkansas to Austin Thirl and Mildred Gearldene (Sharp) Smith.
Austin enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sporting events on TV, and discussing stocks and bonds financial investments.
Survivors include his son, Leslie Smith (wife, April) of Heber Springs; daughter, Cheryl Lewis (husband, Chuck) of Batesville; four grandchildren, Brittany Smith of Cabot, Cory Smith of Cabot, Ian Roberts (wife, Bo) of Sparks, Nevada, and Kira Cross (husband, Charlie) of Ignacio, Colorado; five great-grandchildren, Aiden Tyler Smith, Lilli Smith, Elyse Roberts, Austin Roberts, and Hunter Cross; great-niece, Alice Stanley; as well as other nieces, nephews, and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Lynn Smith; daughter, Debora Ann Roberts; and sister, Annia Dell Knatcal.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
