Independence County Fair a “go” for 2021 with new dates and new carnival


The Independence County Fair Board voted Tuesday night to hold the fair in 2021.

There was discussion at Monday night’s county quorum court meeting if a 2021 edition of the fair would be held. (Click here for that story.) The 2020 edition was canceled due to coronavirus restrictions.

The board also voted to move the date of the fair to June 1 through June 5. And the board announced there will be a new carnival and midway with The Spectacular Miller Carnival Show & Midway coming back to Independence County.
