Tuesday night at Mountain View High School, Mountain View Senior Brayden Scribner hit a layup with six seconds to go in regulation to tie the game at 36 with Cave City and send it to overtime.
Cave City would outscore the Yellowjackets 8-2 in overtime to pick up a 44-38 victory.
Senior Bryce Baird led Mountain View with 10 points, Scribner, Beck Morrow, and Elijah Carlton each added six points.
For Cave City Senior Levi Verser led the way with 19 points, draining four, three-pointers in the game, Britton Smith added eight points, and Maddox Moreland had six points.
Mountain View dropped to 4-7 overall on the season and 2-5 in conference play while Cave City improved to 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
In the first game of the night, the Mountain View Lady Yellowjackets jumped to a 20-7 first-quarter lead and coasted to a 51-23 victory over Cave City.
Senior Aubrey Isbell led the way with 16 points, Rylee Shipman and Josie Storey added eight points each, Emry Johnson and Chaelann Vickers each added six points as Mountain View won their eighth game in a row and improved to 8-2 on the season and 7-0 in conference play.
Cave City was led by Senior Kaylee Howard who had 10 points.
