Edith Wrae Lucy, 99, of Pleasant Plains went to be with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2021.

She was born July 31, 1921, in Rosie, Arkansas to John Nelson Miller and Mae (Russell) Churchwell.

Edith was a member of the Cornerstone Methodist Church in Pleasant Plains. She enjoyed hunting and farming and was a great provider for her family. As a farmer, she had chicken houses and raised cattle. In California, she worked as a riveter for Rohr Aircraft.

Survivors include one son, Lloyd Rex Lucy (Jeannie) of Pleasant Plains, and a son-in-law, Kenneth Smith, also of Pleasant Plains; four grandchildren, Jo McKnight (Lelland Smith), Gwen McKnight (Russell Gwin), Ronald Lucy (Ana Lucy), and Rexeen Jordan; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Hall, Kelsey Post, Ambra Huff, Tyler Lucy, Christopher Conrad, Michelle Jordan, Alex Jordan, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Joe Lucy; two daughters, Sherian Smith, and Carolyn Lucy, and seven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Hall, Rob Post, Lelland Smith, Tyler Lucy, Terry Young, and Travis Poe.

Graveside services will be held at Egner Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Steve Long officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W. Second St. Little Rock, AR. 72201, or the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 3857, Little Rock, AR. 72203.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks and social distancing will be observed.
