news-siren-105

A couple stopped by authorities this past Friday in downtown Mountain View for not having a license plate ended up in the Stone County Jail on felony drug violations.

According to the arrest affidavit, the driver, identified as Christopher Lee Posey, 29, was found to have out-of-district warrants for his arrest and a suspended driver’s license while the woman in the vehicle, Kayla Leann Greenhaw, 27, did not have a valid driver’s license.

After consent was granted for a vehicle search, the affidavit said it resulted in the discovery of a small makeup bag that allegedly contained seven hypodermic needles, a Ziplock baggie with a white powder residue inside, and a “domed” magnifying glass with white powder residue. The white powdery reside later field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the affidavit said.

Both Posey and Greenhaw were taken to jail, charged with two felony drug violations, and each placed on a $5,000 bond.
