Obituary: Jacquelyn Yvonne Herndon

Jacquelyn Yvonne Herndon, 83 of Cave City passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021.

She was born July 8, 1937, in Batesville, Arkansas.

She was the daughter of Edna Merhea Kunkel.  She was a longtime owner of Herndon’s Sanitation in Cave City; a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked in the nursery at the White River Medical Center in Batesville and worked several years for Nightingale Home Health.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Cave City Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Herndon; one son, Eddie Glenn Herndon and one great-grandson, Colton Glenn Hites.

Survivors include two sons, Brent Herndon (Dianne) and Tony Herndon (Sharon) both of Cave City; one daughter, Judy Nelson of Cave City; eight grandchildren, Jodie Merhea Barber, Dana Michelle Taylor, Ryan Herndon, Aaron Herndon, Samantha Hatfield, Shannon Herndon, Dustin Herndon, and Shayla Herndon; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Kenny Townsley and Ron Canard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Herndon, Ryan Herndon, Dustin Herndon, Josh Stewart, Bob Taylor and Shannon Herndon.

Honorary Pallbearers are Gray Dillinger, Matt Dillinger, Tony Farris, Clint Perkey, Bryan Hatfield, Derrick Brashears, and Trey David Mitchel Hites.
