Stone Bank in Mountain View is sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Arkansas Blood Institute’s mobile unit that will be parked at the bank located at 802 E. Main St.
The drive is being conducted to supply needed blood supplies to area health care providers. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and a ticket for free admission to the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock.
Donors may schedule their appointment by signing up online at www.arki.org, click on “Find a Blood Drive,” and entering the Mountain View zip code (72560). They may also contact Melissa Sutton at Stone Bank by calling (870) 819-4743. Walk-ins are also welcome. Masks are required.
To donate blood, 16-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission; 17-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds; 18+ year-olds must weigh at least 110 pounds.
All donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies.
