Maxine Montgomery Lassiter, 98 of Cave City died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021.
She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Cave City, Arkansas to Martin McDougal Montgomery and Virginia Mae Vest Montgomery.
She attended Pine Springs School and graduated from Cave City High School in 1940. She taught in one-room schoolhouses at Pine Springs, Etna, Hodge, and Tompson.
She worked for International Shoe Factory in Batesville and the Ozark Foothills Craft Guild with Craft Shops in Hardy, Heber Springs, and Mountain View.
She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City where she taught Sunday school and sang in the Choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.J. Lassiter.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Cemetery west of Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating.
Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
