Janice Tucker Jones, 86, of Southside, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021.
She was born Dec. 30, 1934, in Elmo, Arkansas to Robert Euin Tucker and Susie Evelyn (Wackerly) Tucker.
She was a hardworking, supportive, and dependable woman of the Baptist faith. She dropped out of school to help her family work; she got her GED and went to Nursing School and graduated third in State; she worked at WRMC as an LPN and retired in 1985.
She loved quilting, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her son, Tim Jones (Amy) of Sacramento, California; daughter, Deborah Easley of Southside; six grandchildren, Greg Gordon, Jennifer Jones, Susan Kamper, Meagan Wood, Jeff Jones, and Jessica Gay; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Jones; and daughter, Terrye Lambert.
The burial of cremains will take place at Oaklawn Cemetery at a later date.
