Florence Milligan McClure, 97, of Batesville passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021. She was born on Feb. 7, 1924, in Batesville, Arkansas to Benjamin and Martha Milligan.
Florence was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church of Batesville. For many years, she was the bookkeeper for the McClure Plumbing Company, a family-owned business. The joy of her life was spending time with her family, especially her beloved four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burnell McClure, Sr. and six sisters.
She is survived by two children, Burnell “Mac” McClure, Jr. and Laura Grace; four grandsons, Chad McClure (Lorrie), Wesley McClure, Christopher Grace, and Philip Grace (Melanie) and five great-grandchildren, Mallory McClure, Matthew McClure, Annie McClure, Garrett Grace, and Anna Grace.
The family wishes to graciously thank Elmcroft Assisted Living of Maumelle, Arkansas for their loving compassionate care for Florence.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will honor Florence’s life with a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Baptist Health Foundation or a favorite charity.
