On Wednesday morning at Manila High School, the Mountain View Lady Yellowjackets advanced to the Regional Semifinals and qualified for the Class 3A State Tournament with a 61-26 victory over the Osceola Lady Seminoles.
Mountain View controlled the game throughout jumping out to an early 7-0 lead before Osceola scored.
The Lady ‘Jackets increased the lead to 15-4 at the end of the first quarter.
Mountain View would outscore Osceola 20-6 in the second quarter to lead by 25 at halftime.
Josie Storey hit a three-pointer at the end of the third quarter to give Mountain View 52-21 lead en route to victory.
Storey led the Lady Yellowjackets with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Chaelann Vickers had 13 points, Aubrey Isbell had 11 points and nine rebounds, Emry Johnson had 10 points, Rylee Shipman earned five points, and Kennedy Holland had four points and eight rebounds.
Mountain View improved to 18-3 on the season and advances to play the winner of Walnut Ridge and Clinton on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Manila High School.
