First Community Bank recently announced the hiring of Carrie Price (pictured) as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, according to Dale Cole, chairman and chief executive officer of the financial institution.

Price will oversee and provide direction, guidance, and leadership in the bank’s overall marketing efforts throughout Arkansas and Missouri.

“As we continue to grow, Carrie will be a tremendous asset to the bank and the expansion of the brand,” said Cole. “She has the right experience to contribute to our strategic plans and provide valuable marketing insight.”

Price comes to First Community Bank with over 16 years of banking experience. In her previous role, she served as the senior marketing officer at Southern Bancorp, where she had worked since 2007. Prior to Southern Bancorp, she worked as public relations manager for Elk Horn Bank. She is currently a member of the Emerging Leaders Council of the Arkansas Bankers Association and has been deeply involved in numerous volunteer efforts for many years.

Price obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication in 2004 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She and her husband, Nathan, have relocated to Batesville from Arkadelphia, Ark., with their three children, Emmett, Boyd, and Cora June.

“It’s an exciting time to be at First Community Bank, and I am honored to be given the opportunity to be part of a bank that truly goes above and beyond to make a difference in the communities we serve,” said Price. “Our family is proud to call Batesville our new home, and we are grateful for so many that have welcomed us to the community already. It’s a privilege to join this outstanding team of well-established community bankers, and I look forward to my future at First Community Bank.”

Laura Cornett, who served as the marketing director for the past 16 years, will be going to a reduced work schedule but will remain as a member of the marketing team. This transition will allow for spending more time with her family and for traveling to purchase for the antiques store that she and her sister own.
