Mountain View rolls to the Regional Tournament Finals

The Mountain View Lady Yellowjackets rolled to a 66-33 victory over conference rival Clinton Lady Yellowjackets in the Regional Semifinals Friday morning at Manila High School.

Mountain View controlled the game throughout jumping out quickly to a 9-0 lead before Clinton would get their first points.

Junior Josie Storey scored 9 points in the first quarter as Mountain View led 17-6 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Mountain View continued the offensive momentum doubling up Clinton in the quarter 18-9 with Aubrey Isbell leading the way in the quarter with 9 points as Mountain View would lead 35-15 at halftime.

Mountain View would outscore Clinton in the second half 31-18 to cruise to victory.

Isbell led the way with 18 points and five assists, Storey added 14 points and eight rebounds, Chaelann Vickers had 11 points, Kennedy Holland earned eight points, Rylee Shipman had six points, Emily Fletcher scored five points, and Emry Johnson had four points.

Clinton was led by Sydney Standridge with eight points and Alexa Booher with five points as Clinton falls to 19-10 on the season.

Mountain View improved to 19-3 and will play Saturday afternoon in the Regional Finals at 4:00 against the winner of Rose Bud and Hoxie.
