Stone County man charged in circuit court with two felonies including sexual indecency with a child

A Fox, Ark. man is in Stone County Jail facing charges of sexual indecency with a child and sexual assault in the fourth degree.

According to the arrest affidavit filed in Stone County Circuit Court, the incident that led to the charges occurred on March 8, 2021, when Stone County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathan Masterson was called to a residence regarding a missing female juvenile. During that investigation, Masterson learned the father of the juvenile was at an SUV near the residence after he had located his daughter in the company of Allen Godfrey, 22, of Fox, court records report.

Masterson said in the arrest affidavit that when he arrived at the SUV, he saw the father putting the female juvenile in his vehicle, and Godrey getting dressed.

During later interviews, Masterson reported he learned from both Godfrey and the juvenile that sexual intercourse had occurred, and Godfrey had been smoking marijuana.

The affidavit noted the juvenile’s parents took her to Stone County Medical Center for a checkup, while Godfrey was taken to jail.

Godfrey has been charged with two felonies and three Class A misdemeanors:

  • Sexual indecency with a child
  • Sexual assault in the fourth degree
  • Public sexual indecency
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use marijuana.

Godfrey has been placed on a $25,000 bond.
