Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds has confirmed to White River Now that a deadly shooting occurred Tuesday in the county.
The sheriff said two people are dead as a result.
Bonds did confirm that a person of interest has been taken into custody, and they are being held for questioning. He also said the Arkansas State Police of been brought in to lead the investigation.
