Lyon’s Stewart-Lange named WHoopDirt.com Coach of the Week

Lyon College head women’s basketball coach Tracy Stewart-Lange was named as the WHoopDirt.com NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Women’s Basketball Coach of the Week, which was announced on Wednesday morning.

Stewart-Lange led the Scots to their first American Midwest Conference Tournament title for the first time since the 2015-16 season. The Scots, who were ranked No. 18 in the final NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, clinched their tournament title after defeating Columbia College, 66-56, in the championship game.

The Scots enter the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round on a six-game winning streak and with a 13-1 record overall. Lyon will take on Reinhardt on Friday at 1 p.m. in Alexandria, La.
