Phyllis Louise (Gasaway) Price, 81, of Batesville, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2021, at her home. She was born on April 1, 1939, to Walter and Marie Gasaway.
She worked for many years as a waitress for the Batesville Country Club.
Phyllis loved to travel especially with her daughter, Kim. Together they enjoyed sightseeing in places such as England and Paris, France. Phyllis lived in Japan for a short time. She enjoyed reading and watching birds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Kimberly Wood.
Phyllis is survived by two sons, Michael (Shannon) Price, of Batesville, and Timothy Smith, Jr, of Clarksville; a daughter Zena Sparks, of Lexington, Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Tiger, who has been with her for over 20 years.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd., in Southside with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
Burial will be in Sulphur Rock Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time.
