Obituary: Robert “Bub” Ellis Beel

Robert “Bub” Ellis Beel passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021, in Greers Ferry, Arkansas.

He was born on May 15, 1965, to R.L. and Jane (Lamb) Beel.

Bub was saved at a young age and professed his relationship with Jesus Christ to all who would listen.  He was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains.

Bub worked in the sandblasting and painting business for more than 30 years.  He was the owner of Eagle Sandblasting and Painting, Inc. in Pleasant Plains.

He served on the Midland School Board for two terms.  He enjoyed working with his hands, passing his knowledge on to others, offering words of wisdom and advice, and he was an amazing friend to many.  He will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father,  R.L. Beel.

He is survived by his mother, Jane Lamb Beel; two sons, Robert Beel and Brandon Beel; grandson, Robert Lee Beel; sister, Cathy (Kenny) Crymes; nephews, Jonathon  (Melissa) and Andrew (Kathryn) Crymes; niece, Sara (Ben) Berley; aunt, Betty (Jeary) Wheeler; uncle, Joe Lamb and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains with Charles Lamb and Billy Sutton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be John Boswell, Mark Carpenter, Matt Foster, Lantz Goforth, Joey Hays, Brent Henderson, Mark King, and Kendell Staggs.

Honorary pallbearers are Robert Lee Beel, Andy Martin, Chance Martin, Matt Martin, and Kenny Staggs.
