Gladys Jewel Hendrix departed this life on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
She was born Nov. 22, 1945, to J.R. Reed and Goldie Gosser Reed.
Hendrix was of the Baptist belief. She was a graduate of Tuckerman High School. She was also a cancer survivor who gladly volunteered her time to the Relay for Life. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and doing arts and crafts. Her greatest pleasure in life was being a Nana.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clifton Hendrix.
She is survived by her daughters, Carla Burgin and husband Mike of Pocahontas and Tracy Brewer of Grubbs; sister, Maxine Tarno of Newport; grandchildren, Miranda Bias and husband Robbie, Rachel Broadway and husband Chris, Justin Francis, Amanda Cunningham and husband Zhan, Johnathon Bullard and wife Ashley; great-grandchildren, Presley Broadway, Haliee Broadway, Owen Broadway, Graison Cunningham, Aeris Cunningham, Grant Bullard, Camry Francis, and Finley Knott.
Service will be Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 2:00 at Dillinger Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
