Martha Jeanette Howard, 80, of Strawberry died on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at The Cave City Nursing Home following a short battle with cancer.
She was born on May 7, 1940, in Strawberry, Arkansas to Earl C. and Virginia Naomi “Virgie” Bennett Clem.
She was a 1958 graduate of Strawberry High School. On July 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to Bobby Brice Howard in Lynn, AR. Martha was co-owner of Howard’s Auto Parts and Howard’s Service Station and was a homemaker. She was a life-long member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Strawberry.
After the death of her mother at age nine, she was raised and loved dearly by her maternal grandparents, Emerson and Eula Mae Coleman Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bobby Howard, of the home; three sons, Joey Howard (Sandy) and Greg Howard (Lisa), of Strawberry, and Curt Howard (Sandy) of Newark; six grandchildren, Blake Howard (Brandi), Brice Howard, Stevie Coleman (Brian), Cray Howard (Natalie), Cacey Cleaver (Brandon), and Emma Howard; six great-grandchildren, Blaine Howard, Livvie Howard, Jonny Howard, Drew Howard, Kyson Howard, and Bennett Howard; her brother, Rickey Clem; her aunt, Betty Voyles, and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry with her son, Bro. Curt Howard and Bro. Roger Randolph officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Blake Howard, Brice Howard, Cray Howard, Brandon Cleaver, Taylor Howard, and Robert Howard.
