Obituary: Robert Lee “Bobby” Goforth

Robert Lee “Bobby” Goforth  Jr., 63 of Batesville passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at his home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1957, in Batesville, Arkansas to Robert Lee Goforth Sr. and Vetola Ernestine Milligan Goforth.

He was a long-time employee of George’s Poultry (formerly ConAgra) in Batesville and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Goforth of the home; one son, Shayne Goforth (Tammy) of Walnut Ridge; two daughters, Maygan Boss (Cletus) of Cave City and Kayla Goforth of Batesville; one stepson, Steven Miller (Brittney) of Quincy, Illinois; three brothers, Charles Goforth (Barbara) of Oil Trough, Bill Goforth (Vonda) of Fayetteville and Gary Goforth ( Cathy) of Southside; seven grandsons, Braydin, Xander and Landon Boss, Fletcher, Henry, and Lincoln Miller and Luke Fuller; one granddaughter, Brynleigh Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 19, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Stephen Downs and Caleb Harris officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goforth family at 4756 N. St. Louis St., Batesville, AR 72501 to help with medical and funeral expenses.
