The Independence County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a missing Batesville man.

Trysten Martz (pictured), 21, has not been seen by family members since the morning of March 14, according to the incident report. Martz was last seen walking on Collietown Road with an unknown male heading toward the river, according to the report.

Martz’s father told Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Brown his son had never gone this long without contacting him or other family members. He also advised Brown that Trysten’s cell phone was out of minutes, so it just goes to voicemail when called.

In the report, the father said that his son has been going through a period of depression, but has never tried or threaten to harm himself. Family members could not give a clothing description of what Trysten was last wearing.

Trysten Martz has been entered into the Arkansas Crime Information Center database as a missing person and a “be on the lookout” was issued statewide.
