Robert “Bob” Simmons, 91 of Desha passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at his home. He was born June 28, 1929, in Mounds, Oklahoma to Robert L. and Elizabeth Kirkland Simmons.
He was retired owner of Beebe Small Engine Repair and of the Methodist faith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Simmons, and three sisters, Nadine Hamilton, Juanita Gray, and Delores Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Betty King Simmons of the home; three sons, Robert Lynn Simmons (Ann) of Lovington, New Mexico, Robert Wade Simmons of Walnut Ridge and Randy Simmons (Gina) of Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Judy Elizabeth Simmons of New Mexico and Tracy McFerran of Desha; one sister, Barbara Bunch of Southside; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
