Izard County Sheriff’s Department reports a list of recent arrests

On Monday, Izard County Chief Deputy Sheriff Charley Melton reported several arrests since March 29.

Elmer Branscum, 35, of Calico Rock, had his bond revoked in an unrelated felony case after he was arrested on April 4 for public intoxication. Branscum is scheduled to appear in district court on May 13 on the public intoxication charge.

On March 29, Billy Turner, 49, of Sage was arrested for third-degree domestic battery.

Three arrests were made in separate cases on March 30: Kimberly Elkins, 28, of Melbourne was arrested on a warrant for theft; Luke Dennis, 33, of Calico Rock was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones for criminal trespass and resisting arrest; and Ben Fitzsimmons, 29, was arrested by Investigator Sean Tomlinson on a warrant for failure to appear out of Izard County Circuit Court.

On March 31, Jonathan Foshee, 37, of Norfork, was arrested by Arkansas State Police for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, no driver’s license, no proof of liability insurance, and refusing to submit to a chemical test. Foshee is to appear in court on May 13.

Two arrests were made on April 1: Latina Kurtley, 47, of Newark, was arrested by Deputy Caeden Wolfe on a warrant for failure to appear out of Izard County Circuit Court, and Dawn Hodges, 37, of West Plains, Mo., was arrested by Jail Administrator Sherry Davidson for contempt of court from Izard County Circuit Court. Both are slated to appear in court on April 7.
