Two Batesville-based banks make the top 15 in state according to assets

In the April 5-11, 2021 print edition of Arkansas Business, two Batesville-based banks have made the list of top 15 FDIC-insured banking institutions chartered in the state according to total assets.

First Community Bank of Batesville is listed as the number 7 bank in Arkansas according to assets ($1.81 billion) while Citizens Bank of Batesville comes in at number 13 with $1.10 billion in assets.

Other area banks ranking in the top 30 banks according to assets include FNBC in Ash Flat at number 26 with $577.81 million and Stone Bank of Mountain View following up at 27 with assets of $539.78 million.

Bank OZK (formerly Bank of the Ozarks) is the number one bank in terms of total assets in the state with $27.16 billion while Arvest, owned in part by members of the Walton family, sits at number 2 with $24.36 billion.

Centennial Bank, which also has a large presence in the state, comes in fourth with $16.37 billion in total assets.
