Obituary: Caroline Lou Pinkston McKay Presley

Caroline Lou Pinkston McKay Presley, 82 passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at her beloved Greers Ferry Lake home in Arkansas.

She was born Nov. 28, 1938, in Mobley, Arkansas to James Lowry and Ada Elsie “Sally” Andrews Pinkston.

Caroline grew up in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Pfeiffer, Arkansas.

She graduated from Cave City High School in Cave City, Arkansas in 1956 and attended cosmetology school in Batesville.

She owned and operated Caroline’s Beauty Salon in Cave City from 1971 to 1994, expanding the business to include a boutique in 1985.  Caroline and her family also owned Presley’s Old and New in Cave City for several years.

Caroline enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing at the lake, gardening, and antiquing.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Pinkston and Carl Pinkston, and two sisters, Kay Smith and Betty Castle.

Caroline is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Presley of the home; two sons, Timothy McKay (Karen) and Terry Presley (Patricia); one daughter, Angela Curtis (Darrin); three brothers, Gene Pinkston, Bob Pinkston (Peggy) and Gary Pinkston (Regina); six grandchildren, Mariessa Foley, Russell McKay, Holly Sensabaugh, Kayla Presley, Morgan Presley, and Rachel Presley; three great-grandchildren, Alissa Foley, Claire McKay, Ava McKay and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, April 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating.  Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
