The NADT (North Arkansas Dance Theatre) Dance Academy’s 2021 Competition Team competed in the Revolution Dance Competition in Memphis earlier this month.

The event almost didn’t take place because of venue restrictions due to COVID-19, said NADT’s Cindy Hubberd. A week before the competition, Revolution still hadn’t confirmed their original venue in West Memphis, but in the nick of time, the Cannon Center in Memphis agreed to host the event with strict protocols in place.

Four of the five groups that NADT entered made it to the Top 10 with two Judges Choice Awards.

Several of the NADT dancers performed solos that also placed very well.

The NADT’s spring fundraiser, “Beauty and the Beast,” will be held at Southside Schools, June 4 and 5.

The North Arkansas Dance Theatre is a non-profit organization.
