W.C. Richey, 88 of Strawberry passed from this life on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Saffell, Arkansas to Clay and Syble (Harris) Richey.
W.C. grew up and worked on a farm and worked at Vulcan Shoe Factory in Walnut Ridge. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and remembering the good ole days. He was a member of Mount Harmony Free Will Baptist Church at Saffell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Maynard Richey; one sister, Bernice McGee, and a grandson, Eric Watkins.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Gean (Kay) Richey; three sons, Donald (Dianne) Richey of Strawberry, Ronald Richey of Ash Flat and Randy (Renee) Richey of Strawberry; one brother, Gerald Richey of Lynn; two grandchildren, Justin and Kelsey Richey both of Strawberry; one great-grandson, Westen Richey and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry with Bro. Curt Howard and Bro. Stanley Vandergrift officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Honorary pallbearers are Donald Richey, Ronald Richey, Randy Richey, Justin Richey, Lucas Polston, and Nick Barbieri.
