Jerry Ronald White (Ronnie) 74, of Newport, passed from this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
On May 31, 1946, Jerry Ronald White was born in the small town of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
He was the only child of Gerald and Myrtie White.
For most of his childhood, he lived and attended grade school in Minturn, Arkansas. As he grew older, he soon discovered his love for automobiles and decided to attend an auto body repair school in Nashville, Tennessee.
Throughout his career, he worked in many different body shops around the area but decided to retire from Ross Body Shop in Newport in 2006.
In 1966, he married the love of his life, Vonda Arnold. Together they had three children: Carie White born on Nov. 10, 1967, Pamala White born on August 27, 1969, and Ronnie Gerald born on Aug. 10, 1972, who sadly passed the following day.
In 1993, his youngest daughter Pam married Bill Moore to give him his two grandchildren: Abby and Max Moore.
Although his first name was Jerry, most people called him Ronnie. Ronnie was a God-fearing man who loved his wife, kids, and grandkids, and he was also a member of Surrounded Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and explore nature. In his later years, he developed a love of watching lots of videos on his tablet and sitting in his favorite office chair. Ronnie passed away on May 9, 2021, after a long fight with cancer.
Even though he isn’t here with us today, we all know we will see him again in heaven. His suffering here on earth is no more, and his soul rests with the one true King in eternal glory.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Ronnie Gerald White.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vonda White; his daughters, Carie White of Batesville and Pam Moore (Bill) of Beebe; his grandchildren, Abby Moore and Max Moore of Beebe.
