Mary Blanche (Green) Treadway of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the age of 90.
She was born April 19, 1931, in Newark, the daughter of Clyde and Annie (Jones) Green.
On March 3, 1951, Miss Mary Green was married to Mr. Thomas Alva Treadway, and together they enjoyed 56 years.
She was a graduate of Newark High School and a member of Newark First Baptist Church. Mrs. Treadway was one of the original White Rodgers employees. She retired after 30 years of service, working in Quality Control.
Treadway enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Her grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alva Treadway; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Treadway; two brothers, L.C. and Elmer Green; one sister, Ethel Woodruff; and her parents.
Treadway is survived by one son, Tommy Treadway, and wife, Debra, of Magness; one daughter, Carol Treadway of Newark; two grandchildren, Chad Treadway and wife, Gayle, and Scott Treadway and wife, Priscilla; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Treadway, Nikki Vinson, Cody Melton, and Aspen Melton; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chad Treadway, Scott Treadway, Wyatt Treadway, Adam Owens, Don Smith, and Charles Magness. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Green and Terry Green.
