Batesville-based Citizens Bank has announced the promotion of Amanda Cash and Curt Decker to universal banker and Jaime Duncan to relationship banker.
As universal bankers, Cash (pictured above, left) and Decker (center) will take on more responsibility in these roles to ensure the smooth operation of their respective branches and offer client services, the bank said. As a relationship banker, Duncan (right) will expand her role in meeting customer needs, from running deposit transactions to opening accounts and helping with retirement funds.
In early 2020, Citizens instated a unique naming structure that removed the term “teller” from its language, due to the word’s minimizing nature, the bank said in a release. The bank’s progressive leadership enabled the implementation of this industry trend, which focuses on associate empowerment and elevation, the release noted.
“This language better represents Citizens Bank’s emphasis on the relationship of banking and its philosophy of customer service, which relies less on the transactional nature of the industry and more on modern, comprehensive customer care to put People First,” the bank noted.
Cash has been in the banking industry for 17 years and part of the Citizens Bank family for seven of those years, most recently serving as a relationship banker. She received a certificate in clerical services from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB). Cash attends Believers Community Church in Batesville and serves on the Celebrate Recovery Leadership Team. Cash and her husband Josh have two daughters, Hannah and Haley, and one granddaughter, Adelynn, with another grandchild on the way.
“I look forward to putting my banking knowledge and hard work ethic into my new role,” said Cash. “Our team at the Cave City Branch works hard to support each other and our clients and I’m honored to be part of this community.”
Decker has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry and a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Central Arkansas. He recently retired as the chief of the Mountain View Fire Department after 19 years of service, and 12 years of service as a state probation/parole officer. He and his wife, Brenda, reside in Mountain View where they are members of First Baptist Church and are active in their community. He currently serves on the board of the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View and previously served as Justice of the Peace for 10 years.
“At Citizens Bank, I can lead at work and in the community, and this has set my time at the bank apart,” said Decker. “I look forward to using my experience and skills to ensure the continued success of our Mountain View location.”
Duncan has been a dedicated teammate at Citizens Bank for two years and will utilize her knowledge and training in her new role. She received her associate’s of applied science at UACCB. Duncan lives in Batesville with her daughter, Everleigh, and is currently continuing her education at Arkansas State University.
“I have come to appreciate the support from within the bank and how much my coworkers encourage each other to grow inside the company,” said Duncan. “We push each other to be better at helping our community and I can’t wait to do that in my new role.”
