Jerrod Sandefur is moving up at Citizens Bank. The Batesville-based bank announced the promotion of Sandefur (pictured above) to vice president, commercial lending, in a statement Tuesday.
Sandefur is an Independence County native and has been with the bank for five years. His expert involvement in the Impact Lending Program recently helped facilitate $129,000 in grants to be given to businesses in Batesville’s historic downtown, the bank said. Sandefur will continue to grow the bank’s loan portfolio in this new role by serving its customers in Arkansas.
“Jerrod has been instrumental in our Impact Lending Program, which was designed to assist with the revitalization of downtown Batesville and resulted in more than $6.5 million loaned at low interest rates directly to our historic downtown district,” said Micah Beard, regional president of the north central Arkansas market at Citizens Bank. “He has proven to be a very important part of our team and we know he will continue to go above and beyond to help our customers and community.”
Sandefur serves his community in a myriad of ways, including as the Citizens Bank liaison to Main Street Batesville, on the Board of Directors for Vital Link, and on the Board of Directors for Mid South Health Systems. Previous positions include serving as treasurer and executive board member for Main Street Batesville, board member for Habitat for Humanity, and he was a founding member and on the directional leadership team for City Church in Conway.
“I consider myself privileged to be a part of the Citizens Bank team,” said Sandefur. “Citizens Bank’s commitment to the communities we serve is unmatched and I know I will be able to contribute even more in my new role.”
Sandefur received a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Central Arkansas. He and his wife, Erin, have three children: Emery, Reese, and Kenneth.
