Dale Franklin Taylor, 87 of Batesville passed from this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
He was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Oil City, Louisiana to Sam Grady and Connie Atkins Taylor.
He served four years in the United States Air Force from 1954-1957. He was working for the Louisiana Highway Department in 1963 when he moved to Arkansas and then worked mostly as a factory worker. He retired from GenCorp Automotive in Batesville. He was also a carpenter and woodworker and made several pieces of furniture. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Grady Taylor and Rex Taylor, and one sister, Irma Walters.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Gloria Taylor of the home; two children, Lynda Branscum (Chuck) of Southside and John Franklin Taylor (Kim) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Andrew Branscum (Shaylee), Jon Marc Branscum, Hannah Taylor, and Abby Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Carsen Branscum and Tatum Branscum; one sister, Betty Greenwood of The Woodlands, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends
