Obituary: Wesley Carl Taylor

Wesley Carl Taylor, 63, of Desha, Arkansas passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Wesley was born in Batesville, Arkansas on October 21, 1957, to Charles Owen Taylor Jr. and Halli Jean Bell Taylor.

Wesley loved going fast and living life to the fullest. He also enjoyed making things, including knives and welding. Most of his life was spent on his motorcycle, as he rode with the American Legion Riders and the Patriot Guards. Most importantly though, Wesley loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. Wesley is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Wesley was greeted in Heaven by his parents; brother, Gary Taylor; sister, Darlene Taylor Dowell; and life-long friend, Frankie Felton.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda Taylor; daughters, Rebekah Taylor and Halli Taylor Walls (Corey); granddaughter, Darcy Lee Taylor; lifelong friend, Frankie Felton; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 8 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel from 5-7 p.m. There will be a Graveside Service at York Cemetery on Friday, July 9 at 11 a.m. with Jody Davis officiating.

Pallbearers include Rocky Sutton, William Sutton, Tad Fike, Shane Blevins, Corey Walls, Rick Anderson, Vance Anderson, Bo Reynolds, and Patrick Walls.

The family would like to recognize the following as Honorary Pallbearers: Huck Watts, Sammy Keller, Shelby Crabtree, Jimmy (Catfish) Hunter, Gary Jorden, Charles Stephens, and Earin Ray Davis.
