FOUND: Runaway Batesville juvenile has been located

UPDATE, July 29, 2021, 7:40 a.m.: Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens reports Katelin Pace was located yesterday in Ruston, Louisiana.

Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens reports his department is looking for a missing juvenile.

Deputy Bret Ward said the 14-year-old girl was last seen going into her bedroom at a residence on Kimberly Lane around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. At 8 a.m. Monday, the juvenile was not there.

According to the department, Katelin Pace (pictured above), 14, is 4 feet, 10 inches tall; slight in build; and has long dark hair with brown eyes. Authorities also noted Pace left a note explaining why she left.
