Nona Marie Perkey, 89 of Cave City passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born March 19, 1932, in Batesville, Arkansas to Charlie and Gertie Miller Turner. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and worked several years as a cafeteria worker for the Cave City School. She was a 60-year member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Conyard Perkey; four brothers, Jack, Troy, Maurice, and Lowell Turner; one sister, Maida Whitmire and son-in-law, Richard Marchese.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Perkey (Karol) of Sidney, Robert Perkey and Scottie Perkey (Brenda) both of Cave City; one daughter, Rhonda Marchese of Conway; one brother, Joe Turner (Ann) of Fort Smith; two sisters, Louise Stean of Kansas City, Kansas and Lena Carolyn “Cricket” Hugg of Cedar Lake, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Tianna Marchese, Heath Marchese, Jessica Morrow, Clint Perkey, Tasia Green, Autumn Poole, Chelsey Haigwood, and Katherine Brock; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 2;00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Boyce Johnson officiating. A eulogy will be given by Randy Smith. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Clint Perkey, Colby Morrow, Douglas Brinkley, Marty Morgan, Heath Marchese, Mickey Perkey, and Eddie Hugg.
Honorary pallbearers are Tylor Poole, Jereomy Morrow, Blake Marchese, Justin Green, and Wendell Perkey.
