Donnie Marie Marlin Ring, 84 of Cave City went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. She was at home with loved ones. She was born April 7, 1937, in Maxville, Arkansas to Jessie and Ollie Mae Willis Marlin. She was retired from GenCorp Automotive in Batesville and a member of First United Methodist Church in Cave City. Our beautiful momma loved to laugh and have a good time and loved working in her flower gardens and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Ring; seven brothers, Ruil, Tommy, Ernest, Mordecai, Melachi, Colonel D. and Cannon Marlin; four sisters, Zelma Crumley, Bertie Wilson, Allene Davis, and Lois Stout and an infant granddaughter, Carissa Marie Landers.
Survivors include her children, Vickie Addison (Bruce) of Jonesboro, Rickey Ring (Angela) of Cave City and Ivy Qualls (Jermey) of Cave City; her grandchildren, Danielle Griffin (Jeremy), Matthew Addison (Jordon), Josh Landers, Eric Ring, Carl Ring (Allura), Zack Qualls (Tiya) and Shana Qualls; her great-grandchildren, Bennet Claire Griffin, Lilly Qualls, and Noah Qualls. She is also survived by her friend and loved one J.W. Qualls; also Joey Qualls (Rachell), Kim Arnold, Dedra Thompson, and their families; as well as two sisters-in-law, Joy Marlin and Louise Marlin; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Parsley Cemetery at Cave City with Bro. Ronald Marlin officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Ring, Jermey Qualls, Bruce Addison, Matthew Addison, Joey Qualls, and Larry Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Josh Landers, Eric Ring, and Zack Qualls.
